Discover your Gardens this Summer

Looking for some creative and active fun in nature to keep the kids happy these holidays? From theatre shows to self-guided trails, twilight tours and snack-size science fun — there’s something for every curious, creative and active child at the Botanic Gardens Greater Sydney.

Highlights include:

Fairy Adventures Theatre – Come on a magical journey to meet some mischievous and magical creatures from the hidden world of fairies.

Snack-size Science – Build your own water filters in these free science sessions
Bush-tucker Pizza – Learn about some of Australia’s yummy food plants, then make your own pizza!

Maker Space – Grow your very own special miniature garden, nestled in a jar. Fairy Garden in a Jar or Rainforest in a Jar sessions.

Storytelling – Join the fun in delightful outdoor interactive story-sessions with singing and hands-on craft to take home.

Self-guided Adventure – Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Explore the Garden and enjoy lots of fun activities along the way with this augmented reality trail.

Twilight Tours – The whole family will enjoy a prowl to spot the amazing wildlife that call the Gardens home.

The fabulous Summer Garden Fun festival of events will be held across all the Garden sites on these dates:

  • Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan: 16 – 18 January
  • Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah: 19 – 21 January
  • Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney: 22 – 24 January.
