Celebrating science & technology
National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology.
Running each year in August, it features events hosted all around Australia, including those delivered by community groups, not-for-profits, arts and cultural centres, universities, schools, research institutions, libraries, museums and science centres.
Everyone is welcome to join National Science Week by hosting their own event or activity. Please submit all events to the National Science Week website so we know about activity and can help promote local events! More information on holding an event.
2026 National Science Week program
The 2026 program will be published on the National Science Week website, and events are added daily as they are confirmed. You can search for activity by location, topic or audience.
