The aim of Emerge is to promote job opportunities in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and to create excitement in STEM careers. Participants will get a feel for some of the weird and wonderful innovations being produced by our talented Australian startups and scale-ups.
Cicada Innovations is Australia’s globally recognised and leading business incubator for advanced technology startups. At Emerge, Cicada Innovations will invite STEM-passionate guests into our community of deep technology startups for the creative showcase of STEM careers to inspire, support and strengthen the knowledge economy in Australia.
Emerge will also serve to highlight viable alternative career pathways for STEM educated graduates.
The program will include interactive demonstrations of tech such as a two-meter long Cicada robot, virtual reality demos, agtech displays and more! Audiences members will hear from tech entrepreneurs and thought leaders such as Dr. Stefan Hajkowicz, the Senior Principal Scientist, Strategy and Foresight at Data 61 CSIRO and Dr. Jay Spence, the CEO and Founder of Uprise.
Emerge is a free event open to all STEM job seekers, STEM internship seekers, university students & graduates, PhDs, entrepreneurs, the NSW business and general community.
