Does building a rocket from things around the house sound like fun? What about building a LEGO moonbase that can withstand a moon-quake? Science Space invites community members in the Illawarra and beyond to jump online and go intergalactic these school holidays, using household items to create cool science experiences!
The talented Experience Officers from Science Space have designed a range of virtual LIVE Zoom workshops to engage, energise and entertain the kids (and their adults, we won’t lie) these school holidays.

Science Space is also hosting two free virtual Q&A sessions for young Space enthusiasts. All welcome to join two well-known experts in science and astrophysics, Dr Helen Maynard-Casely, a published author and ANSTO scientist, and Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith, an award-winning astrophysicist and author with a talent for making the universe accessible to all.
In addition, Science Space offers free online science demos every Tuesday and Thursday at 1pm, streamed for free from its Facebook page. There is no need to book, juts drop in.
