Inspiring NSW invites all our partners, grant recipients, and science communicators to join our upcoming online October 2026 Stakeholder Briefing. This session is an opportunity to connect with the NSW STEM network, review the incredible community impact we’ve achieved together this year, and prepare for upcoming funding opportunities.
Next year is particularly special as we will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of National Science Week. This major milestone offers a unique opportunity to amplify our impact and celebrate three decades of science engagement in Australia. As you look ahead to the new year, we highly encourage all our stakeholders to think big and consider how your upcoming events can contribute to this historic nationwide celebration.
During the briefing, we will be recap the standout moments from 2026 National Science Week. and celebrate the researchers, libraries, and community organisations who brought science to life across the state.
For those planning community STEM events, regional engagement activities, or library programs for the coming year, we will announce the 2027 grant timeline and priorities during this meeting. Whether you are a returning applicant or new to the network, we will provide valuable tips for submitting a strong proposal.

National Science Week Manager Alice Ryder will present on highlights of 2026 National Science Week and key stats from across Australia.
STEM Program Manager from AROSE Holly Kershaw will share the STEM Ecosystem Map she recently presented at the STEM Unconference in Sydney. It maps 255 STEM engagement initiatives across six life stages and five layers of delivery – the places, programs, platforms, people and backbone that make up Australian STEM engagement.
Inspiring NSW Managers Karen Player and Meredith Hall will present on highlights of 2026 National Science Week in NSW and the timeline for 2027 grants.
