Commercialising research forum

Join researchers working in both academic and industry settings alongside experts across IP, business development and research management to consider the challenges and opportunities in the quest to commercialise knowledge. Inspiring Australia welcomes everyone interested in commercialising science research to participate in our free, half-day forum on Monday 16 October presented as part of the 2017 Spark Festival of Australian Startups.

This forum has been developed in partnership with Sydney’s research community to provide a learning and networking opportunity. Its aim is to consider how researchers can take advantage of real world R & D opportunities and how businesses can access research capability. What are the barriers to industry collaboration and how are researchers and businesses working to overcome these?

With a stellar lineup of speakers on the program, the Commercialising research forum is a unique chance to discover how academia and business are collaborating to create new products and services from scientific knowledge to the benefit of all.

Who should attend?

We welcome science students, PhD candidates and post docs, research managers and business representatives – anyone seeking to understand the commercialisation process and how to engage research talent is encouraged to participate.
