Catch Questacon on the NSW Sapphire Coast

The circus is coming to town! The Questacon Science Circus, that is. Based out of Canberra, the Science Circus is a touring outreach program that travels Australia bringing accessible STEM activities to schools and communities. After two years of mostly virtual touring, the Science Circus is back on the road in February 2022 and will head to the NSW South Coast.

The tour will kick off in the Batemans Bay area on 14 February then travel south to Towamba throughout the week, delivering spectacular science shows for local students at ten schools.

These interactive shows tackle the deep questions of the universe – can you make a square bubble? What’s the perfect paper plane? Why does your best singing always seem to happen in the shower?

The fun doesn’t end there – Science Circus shows are designed to inspire students to keep on learning long after the final bow, in the classroom and at home.

The tour will culminate in a pop-up display of interactive exhibits and hands-on demonstrations at the Bega Show on Saturday 19 February for the entire family to enjoy.

The Science Circus will be joined by members of the Sapphire Coast Regional Science Hub and Sustainability Education Network who’ll be on hand to talk about local science engagement experiences.
