National Science Week, Australia’s premier annual celebration of science, will run from 15–23 August 2026. Each year, we aim to inspire communities everywhere to engage with science through dynamic, creative and high-profile events.
These grants support projects that:
Inspire broad community participation in STEM
Celebrate the contributions of Australian scientists
Spark curiosity and interest in science across the general public
Encourage young people to explore and wonder about the world around them
Trial new and innovative approaches to engaging audiences
Funding Available
Grants cover up to 100% of eligible project costs
Minimum grant: $500
Maximum grant: $5,000
